Let's Watch Some Gameplay:
Unlike with Xbox and Nintendo I went a different route with this selection. Avoiding the bigger named games and going for this gem. Survival horror games are smaller genres and don't drag the same audience as shooters or simulation racing games. The latest release of The Evil Within will show that the genre isn't dead and I expect this game to have an even larger success. A lot of that might have to do with the fact that they signed Hayden Panettiere to voice one of the games eight protagonists. Call of Duty has done similar acts in the past however the name alone is why thousands of underage teenage boys run to get the game. That's off subject though, moving on. The story revolves around a trip to a log cabin. It's the anniversary of the day that their friend Hannah disappeared. However; just like any horror movie, they're being followed by a serial killer. The best part of the game is that it promises to have a variety of different outcomes based on your decisions. This has been done before in other games but it never seems to live up to it's potential. This game features something called the butterfly effect. Which you of course you know is a small decision can cause a massive outcome somewhere else. That's essentially what it is in this game as well. A wrong turn can possibly lead to one of your friends being torn apart. The game is designed in a way that you'll have to play as all eight characters in order to know the full story. Which might sound lengthy but that's only because it is. Each playthrough is reportedly suppose to take nine hours. So even if you can do a quick run through at about five hours a piece, you're still looking at 40 hours of gameplay. That's a good weeks worth of work. And if you're not impatient or the worlds best gamer? Then you're looking at 72 hours worth of game time. That's a good chunk of time. I'll be sure to keep you updated when anything comes up.
